Does your LS430 shifter show a gap when in park?

 

Looks like a piece of "covering" is torn away. You can get to it by removing the surrounding console and replacing it.

 

Thank you for your reply. I just found a DIY on this forum on how to replace. Looks like an hour job to do with clean up. I have a feeling when I was moving my gears to the lower gears when I the car was in park caused this as the original was already brittle and ready to fail anytime. I’ll go and work on this when the part arrives. 👍
