Default Electronic Ebrake Module Repair

My electronic ebrake control module for my 2007 Lexus Ls460L in the trunk seems to have shorted out on the board and blew its fuse. Light on the dash says take to dealer. It looks like water has leaked in and shorted it looking at the calcium build up on the board, I guess its a common issue in these cars. I was looking into buying a used one on Ebay for around $200 but then I have to get it programmed to the car which may be pricey from the dealer. I found a company in New York called G7 Computers who repairs vehicle computer modules and says they can do it for $275 and no need to reprogram after re-installing, has anybody used this company before or does anyone know of a company a little bit closer to Vegas that does the same type of work?

Any help would be appreciated!

You can go to independent repair shops that have the tool and experience to program it for less money than a dealer. Just call a few places, tell them your needs and they will know if they can do it. Don't forget to address the leaking water issue too.

Yes, the manual says that you need to calibrate the module with w/ or w/o Techstream. W/ Techstream, the calibration is basically one click. W/o Techstream, it is a lengthy process.

ah he means calibrate, that’s not the same as program to the car, I was reading a thread about someone swapping it and he did mention some calibration and zeroing etc

I just got a used module in and going to install it tomorrow. I got a quote from the dealer and they said $275 plus tax so I'm looking at around $300. Anybody here in the forum that has a techstream in the Las Vegas area that can do it cheaper let me know, that would be awesome, if not I will just have the dealer take care of it.
