Default Loose sideview mirrors

Hey everyone I just purchased an ls430 and for some reason the side mirrors are loose. I do not currently have the money to get them replaced and I dont want to tape them down because im afraid it’ll cause issues with the power folding mirrors. I’ve tried turning the power folding off but no matter how I set it the mirror always folds out (and I mean all the way out) when I start the car. Y’all have any [cheap] ideas?

one time somebody bumped into my mirror and it was too far foreward but the dealer just bumped it back like it is supposed to be.
pushed back to the resistance point and then just a little harder and all was well again
but that was just 1 mirror not both

There is a thread on here about repairing the mirror motors which shows a take-apart. There is a little center washer lock-nut type thing which pushes down the spring and over time this little nut works loose or strips off the center post thing and loosens which results in the sloppy loose mirrors. Someone I think in that thread talks about how to press it back down and tighten it. Not an easy task from what I remember as you basically have to take the mirror apart to get to it.
