Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has ever encountered the message below that's popped up on my daughter's 2004 LS430. I've searched the internet with no success. She told me that the car sputtered a bit when she started it a couple of days ago and now this message appears briefly when she starts her car now. The car is running fine and has no issues. The message appears for a few seconds when she starts the car and then goes out. She's coming over this weekend and I'll plug my scope in and see if anything comes up. But I'm a a loss to find anything on this. Wondering if the car misfired when she started it a couple of days ago and that's caused it. Or maybe this comes every time she starts it and she just never noticed it before. Does anyone have any ideas?

 

It's normal. Just the car telling you it's doing a "system check". It's really brief so she might have just missed it before.
