Default Ls430 external sub add on help?

Hello everyone! My first post here. Bought this LS430 with the ML package and I think it’s time I upgrade the sub in this car since the mark levinson subwoofer is decent, but I want more punch. I re foamed the sub about a year ago to fix a rattling issue however I would like to add a external sub in the trunk (Rockford fosgate p3 12’) that’s already in a box with a mono single channel amp by them as well, however from reading just a little bit I’ve discovered it’s a little tricky to mess with the factory amplifier for anything and risk damaging the factory amp. I guess what I’m trying to ask is, is there a special way to wire this up? Any advice or links to other posts would be greatly appreciated!

You can tap into the audio signal coming from radio before it gets to the amp. It's a much cleaner signal and the amp is protected. Only downside is the bass volume doesn't increase/decrease with the volume **** on the radio. I just use a bass **** from the added sub amp

Run a hi Lo converter. I did this to run a small 10" sub when my factory sub was blown.

Use the high low converter as mentioned above and you can tap into the any of the wires that have a signal. Then run power and ground to your amp. Simplest way to do it.
