Default Driver and passenger side door not locking/unlocking

How's it going guys, I am going to try and make this not as confusing as possible so hang in there with me.

I have a 2004 ML LS430, I love the car the only main issue is the lock and unlock button on the key fob only unlocks/locks the rear (drivers/passengers) doors and not the front, same with the unlock/lock button on the door panel. The only way to make sure both driver and passenger side front doors are locked is to manually push the lock button before closing the door when exiting the car. The front drivers side door will automatically (smart lock) unlock when approaching the car half the time, the other half I need to insert the key to unlock the door and reach over to manually unlock the passenger side door.
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Thanks in advance for all the feedback

Your door lock actuator motors have failed. Common problem thats easy to fix. Cost is $7/door if you diy. Do a search as it's been covered hundreds of times.

all four of my doors do not lock or unlock with the keyfob. The keyfob itself works though because the trunk release functions normally.
Would you recommend replacing the motors or could this be an additional issue since it's all four doors? It's been like this since I've owned the car, so I'm unsure when they went out

Replace one actuator motor.
If that fixes that door’s problem,
you have the answer?

Teaa...do any of the 4 doors lock or unlock using the manual arm-rest buttons? If they work with the arm-rest buttons but not with the fob, then it is a fob issue or ecu to fob issue, but if they also do not work with the door lock button on the arm rest then its probably all 4 actuators have gone out or else the driver's door ecu which controls all four door functions or a wiring problem with the ecu. Also check the door lock fuse.

None of the arm rest buttons work. Most likely not a fob issue then, thanks. Will be replacing one of the actuators first, if that doesn't work I'll check the fuses and start researching the door ecu

When you press the arm rest lock/unlock button or the fob do you hear anything at all? Even on my passenger door which won't actually complete the lock or unlock cycle, it does make the clump noise to let me know it tried. If you hear nothing at all I would look for the fuse first - hard to believe all four would be completely dead with no noise at all. If no noise at all I would suspect the fuse since that would indicate none of them are even getting power. Typically what happens is the little motor either strips or cracks the d-shape worm gear, or they simply bind from the motor not having enough power to complete the turns.

Don't forget that the Techstream settings may be set in different ways w.r.t. which doors open. See attached.
Unlikely that 2 doors would fail simultaneously and VERY unlikely for 4 to fail simultaneously.

Finally got around to replacing the actuators on the front driver and passenger side door. They were extremely loud and lasted a day. Did I install them wrong or do you guys think the actuators fail? I purchased them from Amazon, link below

Amazon Amazon

Thanks for the feedback

I too have a 2004 LS. My rear passenger door lock has failed. I push the lock on the remote or on the door button, all the door locks but the rear passenger door click again and unlock. I can lock it from the inside, but it will not unlock when I engage the remote. If it is the motor, what length of shaft; 10 or 20 mm? What style of shaft; round-shaft, D-shaft or flat-shaft? Thanks,
