Default battery change

Recently I read that some "modern" cars must be re-programmed if you change the battery.. When batteries get old the computer tells the alternator to up the charging . When a new battery is installed this higher alternator output can damage the electrical system. The new BMWs are the best example.
Does this apply to the 2001 LS 430?
I dud replace my battery (it lasted 13 years) with a new one, and I want to know if I did the right procedure

Your battery lasted 13 years! That's pretty crazy!

I only know that you might have to reprogram the automatic feature in your windows. There's several YouTube videos on the process.

You shouldn't need to do anything except reprogram radio presets

I found out you do not need to re-program anything.
Even my Atoto S8 premium has a memory
thanks for all the inputs from the forum
