I have to find an independent Lexus facility to inspect a 2006 LS 430 in Downers Grove IL. I put down a deposit and am especially worried about rust. Does anyone have recommendations?

Thank you for your prompt response. Your posts are very thorough and I am enjoying reading them this evening. I was confused as your profile listed California, but lots of folks move and their profiles remain unchanged....
Currently, I have stopped moving forward on this purchase, as the seller Auto House in Downers Grove IL could not get their story straight on how they obtained the car. Would not put the car on a lift for inspection of possible rust damage.

I will be glad to contract with you if another car is located in your area.

I know a reputable dealer and will inquire.

You did not indicate mileage.

Here, how they acquired it is not as relevant...but somebody with their feet on the ground is in a better position to ask.

Here are typical ways used car dealers acquire inventory; trade-in, customer does not pay repair bill, wholesaler (where Lexus sends vehicles over certain age or mileage) auction, outright purchase from private party.

Are any of these methods of acquisition disqualifying?

The communication style here is different, so you will require an interpreter.

We were mostly concerned about rust. The car spent the past three years up north after 12 years in Florida.
