So t seems like no one here has tried (or found) a mini-spare for the LS?

Why would you want one? A full size spare is much safer.

well, yea of course it is. but apparently there is no place for it. the mini would take up less room and be better than nothing.

What's being stored in the location where the full size spare fits perfectly in your trunk right now?

What do you mean no space for it? There's a full size spare in everyone's trunk, and a proper full size spare with an alloy wheel matching the four on the car and not a black steelie. Also, with the clearance needed on the front caliper it would be tough to find a slim/mini spare that would work

A full size spare filling the spare tire well offers increased impact protection over a mini/space-saver spare in the event of rear end collision

Over here some LS's have been converted to run on LPG as well as gasoline. LPG is HALF the cost of gas here so it's a substantial saving.
The LPG tank normally sits where the spare wheel sits so there is a case for using a space-saver spare, but most here just carry a can of emergency sealer and have breakdown assistance.
Here is a space-saver for the LS https://motornuts.co.uk/lexus-ls-430...l-and-tyre-kit

Personally I think that the OP probably just hadn't looked under the floor of his LS. :-)

Occasionally Rock Auto has remanufactured wheels for the LS430. I started to pick up some corrosion on my OEM wheels and purchased a couple, eliminated the hassle of putting the car on jacks while taking wheels to a repair place. The comment above on the LS430 brakes is correct, the LS430 used fixed calipers (like Porsche, etc.) and require much more clearance.
