Any info on the A/C Compressor Control Valve?

Any info on the A/C Compressor Control Valve?

My local tech said it needs to be replaced. Apparently its detached from the compressor and it shorted out. He looked into it and couldn’t find the part.

Lexus does not sell it separately, only attached to an a/c compressor…

I buy oem whenever possible.

Any recommendation on manufactures for one of these?

This is odd because I've been looking into this as I'm having a similar problem and you'll see in two threads that this is discussed but that's not the part that is discussed in those threads. The "plug" part looks the same but not the rest of it. (See attached image and note I'm not recommending that brand, it's just the first image I found on eBay.)

The part number of what I've seen discussed, and the image above is 88719-40020 and I found one at O'Reilly, I just haven't installed it yet. (They're also on ebay but appear to be suspiciously cheap.) Very possible we're talking about different things, I am by no means an expert. It's just odd that the part is similar in appearance and name so I thought I'd toss this out.

Maybe this will help. The first link I included seems to look like the part you posted. I bought one before I learned about the faulty A/C compressor control valve.
