Default 2005 LS passenger headlight not self adjusting

I just noticed last night that my passenger side headlight is pointing down more than it should and then also noticed it's not self leveling like the driver side is. I'm not seeing any error messages on my dashboard. I did some searching but didn't find much other than some people said it was the self leveling sensor on the back of the headlight and that you have to take the headlight out to fix which is not an easy thing on the 04-06 LS. Another thread I saw talked about some leveling sensors in the driver's front and rear wheel well. Nothing I found was very good at pointing me in a good direction.

Anyone know of why my headlight might not be leveling upwards?

I'll check the two fuses I see referenced in that link but unfortunately I'm thinking it's not just a fuse because it's only an issue on the passenger side. I would think if it's a bad fuse both lights would not be working.

If it's not a fuse then I'm not sure what to start checking next.

Doesn't look to be a fuse. Anyone know of another suggestion or thread that might address the issue?

When you start the car do both headlights go down and up? Doesn't have to be at the same level.

They used to both do it but recently I just noticed that only the driver's side moves up and down. Now the passenger doesn't go up/down and it's pointing more downward towards the street.

Sounds like possibly a rod from the motor to the low beam projector got disconnected. If you need a hand I'm in Plano and could take a look. I've taken a headlight apart on mine.

Thanks. I'll see if I can take a look and figure it out first. Maybe it's the rod? I've seen posts for a sensor going bad as well but not much info about any of this. I'll try to take a look at it tomorrow after work and if I can't figure something out I might reach back out to you. Looks like you have to take the whole front bumper off to get the lights....what a PITA. Hope to not have to get to that point. I'm out in the Highland Village area just a little South of Denton.
