I have a Lexus LS430. 2006 102xxx miles. Runs beautifully. Really nice car.

I tried to scan it with my Actron OBD2 Scanner, model CP9135.

I get a 'Link Error' message. However, this scanner seems link and scan fine on my other vehicle, a 2005 Nissan Frontier.

I am not sure if it may be some kind of a disconnect between the scanner and the car. Or, possibly this scanner is not compatible with the 2006 LS430.

Note that the power to the scanner comes on, as the display on the scanner would not power up otherwise.

I am in the Tampa area. If there are any Lexus specialists around, let me know (other than at the stealerships).

SOLVED; Used a newer scanner at the parts store. Newer scanner worked fine.

 

I’ve been using an Actron CP9670 for the last year and it works fine with my 2001 LS430.
