Default 2004 Lexus LS430 Differential Bushings

Hi, has anyone changed their diff bushings on an LS430? I've been searching for replacements on the internet but I find little to no info on LS430s diff bushings. Are they shared with the Supra? Because if they are then finding some would be much easier.

This is a picture I found on google, it's not my car, but I am refering to those bushings.

You can get them from Fig's engineering. Be aware that their bushings are the poly type and are very durable. They are also quite hard. Just a guess, but I'll bet that they are less money than OEM. Do call Figs, they are in Colorado.

Several owners of ISF Lexus cars have replaced them for better stability and traction. They also replace the large bushings in the front suspension lower control arms at the same time, also from Figs. Firmer ride and handling especially on 15 year old cars.

Be aware that replacing those differential bushings is a PIA and usually requires an air chisel and a bit of work. Not for newbies. Still the Figs bushings are much easier to install than the OEM ones. More information is on our ISF section.

If I'm understanding your reference correctly, it appears replacements for an 04+ are readily available. Total parts cost (2 upper, 2 lower, and hardware) for OEM is under $100.

The OEM parts may be only $100.00, but the work to R & R them is a night mare. The Fig's parts almost fall into place and are way better. I can and would do this if I had a reason to do it, but I can guarantee that you would not want to be around me while I was doing it.

Check out the photo's on the ISF section before you even think about doing this.

It really depends on his goal for the work.

The FIGS will cost 2.5 times more and result in much firmer ride than OEM.

The OEM will cost less and ride like OEM.

So it comes down to finding out what else could be replaced along the way and making the investment that will last for the next 16 years.
