LS430 P1349 OCV issue
Hi guys,
I recently purchased a 2000 model ls430. it has a check engine light on and check vsc light on (p1349 and p1346)
it runs terribly. Starts and idles ok (slight miss) but when you stab the throttle it bogs down and shudders. As soon as you go to drive, it will hardly move. Takes ages to get up to speed. Im curious if the OCV will be causing that or if my problems lie elsewhere. Thanks.

But I'll answer anyway - Yes, the oil changes were always done on time and with the Lexus recommended oil. These OCV/VVT mechanisms fail over time, even with proper maintenance and they are easy to replce.
