Wiring up LOC Lc2i Pro
In my quest to achieve better bass out of the factory upgraded ML sub I have changed it out with a new Alpine Type S DVC subwoofer. Newly Armed with some new other components such as a An Alpine Sa60m amps and a Audio control LC2 I pro Loc I have a few questions about wiring it up.
Since the factory sub has an impedance of around 12 ohms this new pro series loc has selectable impedance to feed back to factory amps. It has 20 ohm 60 omg and 20kohms.
my question is what ohm load should I select for the bass wiring off the factory ML amp from the sub location and LOC.
I saw an older post in 2010-2017 about this with no follow ups. Would the factory amps normal 4 output wires be safe to wire in 20ohm load configuration for the amp to feed to since the loc is a separate processor. I’d take the Bass output from the loc and wiring it to the amp and then the sub.
any tips or pointers.
futhermore would I still trip the ML amp out and cause it to cut bass from the system or would it be fine since it’s not a lower ohm load then what the sub amp wants to see thanks.
