Hi, so yesterday I tried to connect a LED strip to my truck light located inside the trunk in the center, After connecting and not getting the strip to light up, I noticed now the other truck light on the actual trunk lid is dim and measuring about 4.5 volts (previously 12 volts) I checked the 7.5 A fuse 3 (RR ECU-B) in the trunk fuse box and it was not blown. Taking out the fuse turns off the trunk lights, inserting it back turn it on but at a lower voltage. Is it possible the LED strip damaged a control module without blowing the fuse? Any help would be appreciated as I am stuck at this point. Thanks!
Attached below is the electrical diagram for the 2 trunk lights. One of the contact in the light socket is connected directly from the fuse (which should measure around 12V relative to ground), and the other is linked to the ECU for controls. Can you measure each contact in the light socket relative to ground?
