New LS430 owner here.
Picked up a near perfect 05 with 94600 miles on the clock. The maintenance records were well documented on both LexusDrivers and Carfax. It shows the timing belt replaced at 85000 miles but I don't see the water pump being replaced. Should I be concerned? I purchased a new Nissan Pathfinder in 03. I put 176000 miles on it in 13 years and never replaced anything. It got totaled or I might still be driving it. I plan on keeping this LS430 until I can't drive anymore. Should I look into getting the pump replaced. Looking forward to many years on this forum. One last question, what do you use on your leather seating surfaces?

LS430, right? I'm not sure if Lexus dealers replace the belt and not the water pump. Carfax is riddled with errors, so I'm sure Lexus can be as well.
To use your Nissan analogy, I have a 1998 with ~ 300k and it has the original water pump. I don't think this can be translated to the LS430 simply because the Nissan has no interval in which the water pump needs replacement, where the LS430 is every 90k. It's supposed to begin to weep when it is starting to fail.
I think if it were me, I'd attempt to find out from whomever performed the belt job if the pump was replaced, because it'd be a shame to do the job again < 10k miles later. If it were 100% not done, I think I would still chance it and go to at least 130k before doing anything. Maybe pay an indie to do the work at 130k if no evidence is found that the original pump was not replaced at 85,000.
On a normal car, we don't drive around worrying if our water pump is going to fail (well maybe on a BMW with an electric pump lol), so why worry? It seems people here do talk quite a lot about the belt, and feel it can last 2X the recommended interval. So I am basing my recommendation that if all the parts last 2X, then they can last 1.5X or thereabouts. jmo ymmv

The WP will leak out the weep hole prior to catastrophic failure. If it starts weeping then do the WP and the timing belt while you're in there. If it doesn't, then plan to change it at the next timing belt service.
I purchased my 2001 LS430 10 years ago with 98,000 miles The timing belt was replaced at 95,000 miles, but when investigating further, I discovered the water pump was not done... I too was concerned. but now at 150,000 miles, I have not had any issues. Of course I'm not replacing it until it starts leaking, and if it does, I'll do the timing belt at that time as well. I do check my coolant regularly and keep it at it's recommended level.

They do not unless they specifically say they do, my source of this info is I have a friend who worked at Germain Lexus of Dublin and at Easton. The standard procedure for any timing belt job including a few of the Toyota dealerships was to only replace the literal belt and nothing else and if you the or the customer did want additional items to be replaced they charge extra and they listed as such on the invoice
Thanks to all that replied. I will take your advice and not worry about something that won't happen for many miles to come. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride. I'll try and post some pics in the future but I'm not real handy with this tech stuff. Just wait till I start asking how to program the garage door opener. I read the instructions in the owners manual. It was greek to me.
