As mentioned, for my other car, I have 3 kinds of oil filters in the basement: MANN, Mahle, and Hengst. I like Hengst the best based on what I perceive when I hold each in my hand. I don't prefer the Mahle because of the large seam that I see, no lie, I thought, hmmmm...wouldn't there be less filtration at the actual seam? But look at the oil filter from the factory, Porsche OE, for a 991 Turbo S. It has the identical large seam, and could very well be OEM'd by Mahle. So to put these discussions in perspective, like it was said, it's very likely that no matter what one does, what one believes, it's really not going to make any difference one way or another. So really it's all about being satisfied with what one paid for, and what action they took.

"If you get gas at Costco, you don't deserve a BMW." that was a thread in 2008. Today, especially after COVID-19, Costco doesn't represent no good, it represents excellent.

edit here's a pic. I realized I don't have a Hengst on hand because all my filters are lifetime, so I have to send the old one back to get a new one, and the old is in the garage

At 6 o'clock each filter has a seam. I thought the seam on the Mahle is visibly bigger. Mahle also has a visible rubber gasket in the center. But I shouldn't kid myself if a Porsche Turbo S has the same seam, it's meaningless....

If you are adding it to your fuel for cleaning carbon from the combustion chamber and valves, I don't see how it works. How would adding oil to the fuel clean the combustion chamber/valves? Explain please.
Yes, I add about 1/2 a bottle to my oil at the oil change and I also use it as a fuel system / injector cleaner. It is deigned for both. You do not replace your oil with this product. 1 bottle will treat about 4 tanks of fuel. Don't need to go overboard.

MMO contains some highly effective cleaning agents along with friction modifiers. So it actually helps protect the engine against cold starts by two ways. The friction modifiers stick to the metal better than oil and the cleaning agents help keep the oil flowing as fast as possible during cold starts. Dissolves carbon. Only about $4 a bottle at Walmart. Many people recommend the product and great reviews in general. There is a UOA on it from BTOG forums of you search. It's not some miracle cure it just works very well and is cheap. Been around forever.

It works by dissolving carbon and allowing oil to flow more freely to your engine components. In the fuel system it dissolves carbon in tank, lines, and injectors, as well as valves since we are port injected. If your engine is particularly dirty you will notice the oil get pretty dark withing 500 to a 1000 miles. This is not an engine flush product. You run it in the crankcase the full OCI.
