Tire Reco for 2001 LS
My DH needs 4 new tires on his 2001 with 200+K. Looking for reco on tires that will last. He drives around 40K year now, mainly highway. He's has Michelin Primacy on now I think and he tends to like to stick with the same brand but thought I would ask for some expert advice.

If you encounter snow and drive hard the rest of the year and don't mind road noise higher than other tires the crossclimate + is outstanding, handles just like a real 3 season most of the time and is severe snow rated
I was wrong. He has the Michelin Defender T+H on there now and decided to go with the same. Just ordered the same Michelin Defender T+H 225/60R16 (80K), installed at Costco for $522. It was $110 savings of regular price. Don't think we're going to do much better than that.
Michelin has a new model with noise shield technologie and it is 50% more silent then the most silent Michelin. I have this technology in my Dunlops... I was a Michelin man before but when this came out only Dunlop had then and I am very happy. I wont go back.

Running Pirreli P7 All Season Plus on the wife's daily driver. Absoluetly love them. Only down side is they have a lower rating in wet vs comp. They have been rock solid in the few heavy rains I have encountered. But i live in a dry climate. The ride and handeling are perfect for the LS 430 set up IMO. Can't go wrong unless you are in very wet climate.
