Tired of Using Cassette with iPhone
What can I do to get rid of having to use the cassette player in my 2005 LS430? It has neither Navigation or Nakamichi.
I heard of someone, years ago, being able to install an AUX input in the factory radios. Radios are relatively cheap now. Any advice?

I know you said you don’t want to use the cassette player, but I’m assuming that meant with the cable connected to your phone? This is a great alternative. I am using this till I upgrade my head unit. Bluetooth cassette adapter:
If that bt45-toy works with an iphone I HIGHLY suggest it. I put one in last year and Ive loved it. Everything works as it should. I just connect to my phone to do pandora. But it auto connects, steering wheel controls will change songs, the nav display will tell you song and artist. Shut the car off and it pauses, turn it on and it reconnects and starts going again. Plus you can still use the phone controls for hands free. Its a great solution if you have a ML sound system/nav.

I use something similar to this.
No, the sound quality is not Super HiFi but is as good as or better than the cassette adapter and no cables to plug in (unless you want to charge the phone).
I use mine with my Android phone to play music and take phone calls.
If you use the cigarette lighter socket in the armrest cubby like I do then to take/make calls you will need to raise the armrest so that the microphone in the device can pickup your voice.
No, it's not a BT45-TOY but also requires nearly no installation and is super cheap.

I use this in mine. Great sound quality, reasonable price and easy to use.

I have emailed them and awaiting a response. I don't think what they have will work on my '98 LS400.
I have emailed car stereo removal and factory radio service. Factory Radio Service wants$180 plus shipping to install a USB in my 1998 and $250 plus shipping to install a USB in my 2005. Haven't heard from car stereo removal.
