Default Old oem catalityc converter worth $$

I just replaced my y pipe with rear converter as couldnt weld the cracks anymore pipe was too poor condition. My a replacement davico that i got at RA. Fit like a glove and but i also installed the lexus gaskets and lexus rear sleave seal as the ones that came with davico are different size than oem . I was going to trash old converter and but on interweb. found a place rockaway recycling and sent picture and got 71$ quote back. watched there youtube videos and saw that oem cats can be worth lots of money but aftermarket only worth 8$. That is why my lexus mechanic says aftermarket cat before o2 sensors never work as well as oem converters.

Great you found $$! Good to know too. From my own professional and personal observation, almost everything has value. Like that tray or can you have of every type of screw and fasteners from over the years, to really valuable stuff. $71 is no joke that's great.

Also I feel that OE vs. aftermarket thing when it comes to Walker. That's utter junk and I bet their emissions stuff is junk too.

I mentioned how I found 4 boxes of diapers in the basement, and my kid is 6, right? Well it turned out to be 3 unopened which was good for $91. Why not?!

edit just thought of something really valuable that we were given from an office that closed, 6 Herman Miller chairs, they go for about $700 each on eBay. They are the real ones, most you see around are knock offs (why not they're just as good). Imagine it's like get them out of here we need to be out of the bldg. (this was Manhattan so the rent woulda far exceeded the stuff inside)

I sold my rusted out old Y pipe for $91 on ebay, I was shocked! it paid for more than 1/3 of the new Davico Y pipe
