Default Timing Belt Done by an Indy

As I posted before, he uses Napa parts - his words he wants to only do things one time. Its not branded as Aisin but likely one in the same - all these parts are made by a supplier.

Bottom line, belt/ water pump / tensioners were $329 and total with labor and supplies was $775.

Not dirt cheap but it took them 2 days, so I know if I tackled it - it would take some time to get the work done.

Not sure but I have a hunch Napa is not the same as Aisin. For example, Gates has a kit too. I could be wrong.

$775 is decent, mine was $900 in central NJ. Probably took about 5 hours as they did the rear output shaft also. I told the tech a few weeks ago (hadn't been back since about 2 years) that when he did the job, I checked all around under the hood and could almost find no evidence that any work was done--he said BUSTED!!

So I said what about all the parts you returned in the box? He said boss' Tundra. dag (just joshin')

my indie did mine for $399 + fluids and i had the $200 Aisin kit for him from Rock Auto which included water pump and tensioner. $599 + fluid and taxes. Canadian funds!

took him about 4-5 hours. For $400 labour it was a steal and i didn't have to deal with any headaches, especially not having a lift.

I hate it when that happens! You got to find someone who's gentle on your mind.

(btw anyone here know how crazy Glen Campbell was as a guitar player? I did not until about a month ago. sick)
