Default Wing mirror not unfolding

My passenger side (left hand side) wing mirror is no longer unfolding and the motor just makes a grinding sound before timing out and silencing.
What's the best option to fix this?

Is is the motor or a gearing issue?
I think someone hit it in a car park.

Will check it out, thanks!

Unfortunately I highly doubt this will work for me as mine don't fold out at all.
But I will give it a shot and report back with my particular details in case it helps anyone else out.

My mirror is floppy, it won't stay fixed.
I think I'll take it into Lexus and just get them to fix it.

I'll have to look into this once I take delivery of my '01. I currently have the "auto" mirror switch turned off so that the mirrors stay flipped out. However, when I start the engine, the driver's mirror makes a "click-click-click" sound for about 10 seconds or so, even though that switch is supposed to disable them from moving. Other than that, the housing itself sits firm on the door and the mirror adjustment works perfectly fine.
