Default Correct radiator cap?

I'm looking to drain/fill my radiator at on my next oil change. I called my Lexus dealer about a radiator cap and they said there were two types for an '05 LS and that he would need my VIN to get the right one. Anyone else heard of this and is there a way to determine which one would be for my car?

I found this one on eBay but don't 100% know if it's the correct one.

I had to give my vin# for my 06 because they had a mid year change for the cap.

Yes, the practice of getting a VIN for even something as simple as a Radiator Cap is very common in the Dealership Parts world. Lots of possible supercessions, part numbers going obsolete, etc.

My L Parts and LexusPartsNow both let you enter a VIN to check part compatibility...
