Need help identifying a headlight low beam issue
Greetings,
I recently purchased my second 2003 LS430 UL and have run into an issue with my low beams. The previous owner had installed a nameless brand $10 set of D2R xenon bulbs which is a problem on its own even though they are technically the correct bulb but for some reason one of the low beam connections has fried itself and essentialy exploded (see attached pictures). I don’t know if the fried wires are related to the cheap bulbs or if there’s another issue somewhere else. I’ve checked the lowbeam fuse and it’s fine and all other electronics work with no issue. I have a set of Phillips D2R bulbs but don’t want to install them till I kow it’s safe to put them in as they aren’t cheap. My guess is the cheap bulbs aren’t the wattage they say they are.
