Single pane to dual pane windows?
Is it possible to retrofit single pane to dual glass? Has anyone done this before?
Is the window motor and door frames the same?
Do I just possibly need new window seals and dual pane glass to do it?

Very true, I couldn't honestly tell the difference between the two. Possibly it would help in traffic or in a noisy city. The car is already aero dynamic enough to keep wind noise at Bay.
The reason for me asking is that I always wanted an ls430 but hated the GPS screen in the ml and UL cars just to get dual pane.
I'd have to sell my current car, Scion tc to buy it.

I have a Nav equipped 05 coming. My plan is to mount a 7" Android tablet directly over the nav screen. The plan so far is self adhesive Velcro at the corners of the screen. The top edge will have just one attachment point. My thought is the bottom two corners will be on "strips" so they also act as a hinge for the tablet. If I need the backup cam or AC controls just "flop" the Android screen down and out of the way.
I ordered a right angled power supply USB cord off Amazon to keep the tablet powered as cleanly as possible.
Plan B is to mount near the bottom of the stack over the door to the CD changer and the switches. Again with a "hinge" to allow access to stuff behind.
A 7" tablet looks about right, I also have a 10" I may use in the same way. I will need to put in a few hundred miles to finalize the setup. I can do all this with no alteration of the car. I'll likely do a Vaistech BT module which also eliminates the I agree. Still thinkin on that. I may direct wire for sound. My car already has phone BT, just need media.
