Anyone remember details and parts (what parts and where to get them) on converting the center console ash tray into something else? Appreciate it!!

 

Are you referring to the console accessory box? It replaces the ashtray and lighter with a thin felt lined box with the ashtray in the corner. If so, I am not sure if they are currently available. Try searching ebay for part number 555B20-0010. You may find one but they tend to be pretty beat up.

 

I put a console tray (replaces ash tray module) which includes an electrical outlet in my 04 in July 2009 for $175. The OEM Part No. was 58810-50020-XX. You have to know the color and the trim code.

Yes. Although mine came in a matching color, I also switched the cover with the original ash tray cover.

 

Damn. Reviving an old thread, these are about $300 now for a plastic felt lined box. Does anyone know the part number for the normal ashtray insert? I'm trying to source one from partouts so I can break it down and replicate a non-smoker tray via 3d printer.

Its a shame we cant get a template to just 3d Print that tray :-) the Part number lists as a $300+ assembly - uggh!

I'd love to have one for my car...I have never smoked and the ash tray has never been used...but I would make use of the storage tray option but never wanted to pay $300 for another box...
