What did I do this week?
Well, I got caught up on old jobs but it just brought more problems.
1) I put on a new set of tires. I have been unable to find the cause of a "low tire" warning that I was getting. Tried measuring the diameters, different air pressures, rotating. Nothing worked. I gave up and replaced 4 perfectly good Michilens, Guess what, the problem is now gone.
2) Replacing the tires also cured the breaking chatter that I had attributed to warped disks, but someone else suggested it might be improperly tightened lugs. Apparently he was right. There is still some chatter, but its only noticeable if I pay attention to it and it seems to be getting better every day.
3) If someone knocks the side mirror forward (not back the way its designed to go if hit) and it wont reposition. Just recycle the "folding" switch.
4) put in a dash cam after almost being hit by a lane switching idiot at 65 mph. Decided I needed to be able to ID any car that actually hit me. $10 well spent.
5) Now, why does my window switch apparently get a bur under its saddle. It will suddenly refuse to move the window more than an inch and then stop. Wait a few min and it will again move another inch. But if I pull over and recycle the ignition, it will return to normal operation.
6) Is the rear window heater removable and replaceable. It looks like an after market heater that was just glued to the surface and not a heater in the glass as I would have expected of Lexus.
