I bought a 60k 2003 LS430, the old man had it always garaged and its in very good shape including all rubber, the tires (Bridgestone turos or something)
have no cracks , no dull and have a lot of thread left, they look like new tires and fooled me for a couple of weeks until i checked
the manufacturing date, they are pushing 8 years.
I am considering changing them to my fav tires, Michelin Premier A/S, I was quoted $900 including alignment ,
what do you guys think ? the tires rides pretty good although not as quiet as Michelin but I plan to keep this car
as a secondary car, shall I do it?
Check for tire rot. If you dont have any and the car rides smooth and the steering does not wobble at 55-65mph...heck get some more life out of them. Check tirebuyer.com if you need new ones. I got 4 new Continental dws06 installed for $700 (no alignment)

Generally 6 years is the suggested interval on tires. As a safety measure the change would be a common suggestion. CA has pretty mild weather so if the car is in cooler climates the aging may be less harsh on the rubber. As we come into the winter season the rain may be a concern if the rubber is hardening. YMMV issue. I tend to change out at 4-5 years.

you are right , it is a safety issue, I am going to change
rhe tires as pushing 8 years is a bit worrying
