Anyone have tire problems with Dunlop 5000? Mine has pock marks
I have a 2004 LS with newer Dunlop Sport 5000s (on the car when I bought it)
I'm very fastidious with taking care of my tires, proper air inflation, rotations, balancing, etc.
My front tires though look awful. Lots of little chunks taken out all through the tread through the entire width of the tire. The actual depth of the tread left though is still pretty decent. The rear tires look great.
I took the car to the alignment/suspension shop, and the guy put it on his rack and said it was dead on, refused to charge me a penny. The car goes down the road as straight as an arrow. No bouncing or unusual vibrations through the steering column. He said the tires on there were not a great choice for the car and seemed to think that was the problem, not the suspension or alignment.
Anybody else have issues with these tires?
The only thing I can think of is my driveway is situated where I have to do a 3 point turn to get into my garage while the car is stationary (basically having to rub the tires). But my last car never had this issue. Or my wife's car.
I'm usually a Michelin fan, and that's probably what I'll replace them with.
Any advice?
