So I have some questions regarding my 05 LS430 UL that recently began riding too high in the rear. Both rear driver and passenger sides are too high however the driver side is the highest.

I have a techstream and pulled the live data for the ride height sensors.
FR 0.3"
FL -0.0"
RR 1.7"
RL -1.4"

Car was parked in the driveway which is not level however the front sensors read a 0.3" difference between the two and the rear read a difference of 3.1".

I read in another thread that a bad ride height sensor will show "out of range" on techstream which is not the case for me. Is my ride height sensor bad? If not can I make adjustments in techstream to balance out the car or should I start with the mechanical adjustments on the sensor linkage first?

Also, the car was stationary but the G sensors were reading 0.143, 382, 319, and 31 mm/s^2 . Is that normal? I would think G sensors would zero out with no relative motion.

 

I had my RR shock 1.5 lower than the rest of the car. Took it to a shop to see if I had a bad shock. He told me they can be adjusted manual which he did. All is good. Any shop that knows about air shocks will know how to do this. I did see something on here about how to adjust these .good luck

The height sensors need to be adjusted. Instructions show on the sketches below can be helpful...

So for the rear sensor adjustment, I should move the nut down to lower the car. Correct?

 

Correct!

Very important - never lift a LS430UL (with air suspension system) with the engine running.

 

If your rear right is low, you should try lowering your front left first. This is reported to be a common problem with the LS430 air suspension and people have reported that balancing out the opposite corner can solve the issue.

Also check for a leak in the rear right air bladder and lines, and replace the air strut and or lines as needed. You don't want to relevel the system with a leaking air bladder.

 

This is helpful information....My front is too high (On "Normal" level) so do I need to adjust the front by loosening the lock nuts and turning the bolts on the height control sensor link? Correct?

 

So let me revive this thread and see if I understand. For the above post, I believe the answer is yes looking at the diagram.

But something tells me you can go chasing after a perfect ride level if you don't really know what your doing.

My front left is riding about 1.5 inches high compared to the front right. The rears are very close to being the same.

So If I adjust the front left alone, I'll probably throw the right rear out and will be making it lower? And hence chasing the proverbial tale.

Any sharp shooters here to say all I gotta do is....and please no sly remarks about changing it to regular suspension, ain't happening (right now anyways)

 

I’ve done it to my Ls I maxed out the linkage in the rear than I started with the front I tried to max them out too but the way I did the front I ended up snapping the front rod I fixed it and everything sits nice you just have to play around with it
