Default Headrest keeps extending automatically

I've noticed that the drivers side headrest keeps raising up when I'm not in the car. I've lowered it all the way down 3 or 4 times and when I go back to the car it's extended back up to max elevation. I've set seat memory 1 to my preferred settings but this keeps happening.

You can change the cbest settings to not automatically change the headrest height when the seat moves. If you have Toyota techstream you can do it yourself, or you can take it to the dealer and ask them to change the headrest setting for you. Should be no more than .5 hr labor, or ask during so other service work and see if they will comp it - it likely takes a tech 5 min or so to located the setting and toggle it off.

Program each of the memory seat buttons again with the headrest in the lowest position. We had a scenario where we used 1 and 2, but 3 had the headrest fully extended.

Somehow my wife was hitting #3 sometimes and the headrest would be all the way up. I programmed #3 to match her #1 setting and it hasn't happened since.

Good idea. I'll try that. Thanks.

Sorry I don't know I had my setting changed a few years ago at Lexus. They knew exactly what to change - cost me $30 I think. Likely some one will pipe in with the cbest settings list. You may be able to search on cbest and find it.
