Default 03 LS - Difficult to remove electrical connector

Hello,

There is an electrical connector behind the AC compressor on the drivers side. Down low but difficult to access. It is on the same harness as the connectors for the AC compressor. This has been an absolute nightmare to remove. Very difficult to see how it disconnects. And try as I might with applying pressure at all different locations it doesn’t want to budge. Anyone know how to remove this SOB?

thanks

My way of dealing with those situations, if financially feasible, is to buy the connector, so I can see what it is.

I know it sounds dumb but it happens even when you have access to connectors, and it's never good to force them...good luck...

You can use a small flat bladed screw driver and slip it in the lock mechanism, then use a second screwdriver to gently pry the connector off. Use it perpendicular to the connector and pry it off.

At least in theory, that should work....

I'll see if I can get you a photo of it. Even to get a photo is difficult. Small things like this always hold up jobs.

Finally got it. Soaked it with electrical contact cleaner, then used a pair of long needlenose pliers (like the bottom pic except at 45 deg) to tug on the base. Thought I was going to break it but it came off without any problems.

Appreciate all the helpful suggestions.
