Default 2003 LS430 - Remove Dipstick to Remove Valve Cover?

Hello,

Do I need to remove the oil dipstick to remove the driver's side valve cover? If so how do I get a socket on the retaining bolt? Is there is special technique
or is it just feel around in the dark?

Thanks!

I didnt remove it, just bent it slighly out of the way. The proper way is to remove it though.
