Smells nice and my seats show almost no wear at 136,000 miles but is it possible that it has caused my seat ventilation to be impaired. The seat heaters seem to work fine, but the cooling is almost gone. What do people that still have effective cooling use? anything? nothing? just an idea.
I, for one, do not treat my leather at all. Being as I live in the very cloudy PNW as well as having relatively dark tinted windows, I don’t feel it necessary to treat my leather. This may be a contributing factor to my cooling function working so well after all these years.

I figured I'd pull my seats since I have the car torn apart right now and check out what is going on with the cooled seats. Wow. The passenger side filter is filthy.

Can you clean these filters or do they need to be replaced? Are they a special Lexus party or can I get them at Napa or some other auto part store?

How do you access those filters? I'm curious because I feel like my ventilated seats aren't noticeable at all unless I crank the A/C all the way down

They are located on the bottom of the seats. Just unbolt the four corners of the seat tracks and lean the seat back against the rear bench and you'll see them. Mine popped right out.

You might be able to just stick your hand under the seat and remove them by feel.

Put the power seat in its highest setting. Then move the seat all the way forward. There is ample room to snap the filter off.

The clips for the filter are on the left/right housing rather than the front/back of housing.
