Not sure where in NY you are, but that has to be some killer tint places close by. In Houston, there are plenty of fly-by-night places that are worth avoiding. We are lucky that we have some really great tinters here.

Hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction!
This place has been open for 15 years my buddy has had really good luck with them, NY changed there tint laws so anything under 70% will not pass a nys inspection so most tint shops closed there doors.

Have they not offered to give you at least a partial refund? Or a discount/store credit on other items/services that they sell, if they sell other things?

Good luck

I might bring to their attention that the whole situation would sit much better with you if they compensated you in some way, and not by giving you another $6 can of window cleaner lol. Depending on how far your drive is to get there, I might even bring up your gas expense, in addition to your time.. on your birthday no less.

Awesome! Are you not going to catch any flak during inspections and from police for having that sunstrip down far below the "ISO line" that's visible in the upper left portion of the windshield? It was my understanding that you're not allowed to have any tinting below that mark...

I have a NY state tint exemption sticker so no real worries about it and I get pulled over all the time for tint anyways lol

Dunno man. I'm in Houston and have been using executive Tint for all my personal cars as well as the ones i sell at my dealership. Been using them for 7 years now. Never an issue. Except with my ls and my coworkers ls. I regret not getting it a little darker, and not spending a little more and getting ceramic (the car was super cheap and didn't want to throw money at it) but that was a couple of months ago. They're still going to retint my rear glass it's just i can only make it there during Thursdays, but i can't wait with it because it takes too long and end up having to Uber to and from the shop adding to my costs which i haven't even started complaining to them about.

I'm just sour on this whole deal for too many reasons (gave 80% up front when we agreed on 70, their explanation was i might not pass inspection, which I'll never have a problem with anyways) but it is what it is.

I'm rambling and will stop, I'm already getting mad just thinking about it.

Ohhhh jeez. I'm sorry to hear that. That was definitely not even remotely an answer I was expecting when I asked lol. Glad the state is accommodating you though.
