Thought I’d share pics of my new LS, after deal on a previous LS fell through. This one is much better too so good thing.

Dealer was quite a used car salesman: loyalty charge, document fee, and ridiculously marked up $750 prep fee. On the plus side, the dealership I bought it from had no idea it had a UL package. They also let me take it to a local mechanic for mechanical and body inspection. Six hours at the dealership was quite a drama, as the deal initially fell through, but glad I got it home in the end.

That is a beautiful car. That Saddle interior reminds me very much of the color used in the new LC500. What did the pre-purchase inspection identify as possible issues? I also don't know if i have ever seen that color in person...is that the Briarwood Pearl?

Congratulations...i noticed you have owned an impressive fleet!

Original owner, older couple, had a few accidents, including hitting a deer, which mechanic confirmed after discovering deer hair caught in the undercarriage.

Thanks very much. The exterior color is apparently bronze. I originally wanted black on black but this color combo is growing on me. it also has gold trim exterior decals and pin striping, both of which I could do without but not a big deal.

i’m not a fan of 18 inch wheels. I think even with the air suspension I feel the bumps in the road as too harsh which is a strange dichotomy to feel those bumps harshly while the car is bouncing like a yacht.

Amazingly beautiful colors. So please do tell-----what was the window sticker price, and how much did you pay "out the door"?

So I traded in my 2015 ES300hybrid with 44k miles.

Since my trade-in was worth more than theirs, and since there would be no tax, and since they knew I traveled from another state, they were suggesting a key-for-key trade. I laughed at that. Then they offered me a check for $908 to take the LS. After 90 minutes of inching upward and more BS on how no one wants a hybrid, the final check came out to $3,500.

driven the LS three days so far. It’s a pleasure cruise every morning to work. God do I miss driving an LS. My 4th one and prolly my favorite.

Interestingly, per the 2006 LS sales brochure, this color combination (Briarwood/Saddle) was no longer available. In '06, Saddle could only be combined with Black Onyx or Flint Mica.

Beautiful car! I'm sure it was worth all that headache the dealership gave you!

Thanks guys.

honestly, what are we 3rd gen LS owners going to be driving 10 or 20 years down the road? Low mileage pickins are slim as it is now! We’ll be like the Cubans reconditioning all their ‘59 and older vehicles over and over again.

Amen!!! You've just asked the million dollar question I ask myself monthly! I've been at a loss on what to buy next after my 2005 LS (155k miles) becomes too tired, or I tire of her. I very much WANT to stay with a Lexus....but I'm not interested in the 07-09's.

I like the 2010-2012's but HATE their uninspiring/plain/not exclusive look from the front. (Is that a Camry driving up behind me? ES? Kia???)

The LS600 is slightly more attractive from the front, but I like my trunk space, and don't need all the crap for the usually empty back seat!

All the lines on all those year LS's when looking at the vehicle from the SIDE are beautiful though!

2013?...I'd never buy that 1st model because it's the first year of the totally revamped LS.

2014+?...I'm not ready to drop that kind of coin yet, not to mention the 2013+ body style doesn't inspire me and wow me how the 04-06 simply WOW'ed me, back in the day. Maybe a 2012 LS "sport" model I can tolerate?

Sorry to thread jack, but I had to vent about my 1st world problems. I do thank God, and also acknowledge the right CHOICES I've made in life, to be so lucky and blessed to be in a quandary like this though.
