Nav functions and buttons not working but screen works
2002 LS430 165k miles....So I turned on the car today and noticed after the lexus screen startup it went black. I dint think twice and hit the audio button and on screen came all of the functions....changed to audio...no problems there.1
Got back in the car and same thing...still didnt think anything until i hit the menu button, destination and map buttons...none work. Never gkt an error code or load cd code. Weird...fuse issue?
Well thought i would update....2 weeks later everything worked...then a week later stopped working...the a week later back to working and been fine since.....
I have a similar issue where both my backup camera and NAV don't work and just result in a black screen, but my climate control and stereo screens do work. I'm pretty sure my issue is related to when I was digging around in the trunk near the amp and NAV unit itself as well as the rear deck when I was messing with my subwoofer wiring. I just went through all the fuses in the car hoping to find a blown one, but they were all intact
That's really strange that your problem is intermittent. Intermittent problems are always a PIA to diagnose...

Yeah...for such an amazing build of a car the wiring quirks and such on these is crazy... Just to add to the tales of the weird I had it detailed and when I got it back I could not roll down the Left rear driver window from the main panel...works every other way, with key fob, key in door and door switch...and once in a while my sun roof will open for no reason at all...LOL

This sounds like it could be pretty straight forward to me... they sprayed interior cleaner or used a steam cleaner on the door panel and some moisture got into the master switch, specifically that button. Just to clarify, you're saying you can't roll down the window from that master switch in the drivers door, but you can still roll it down with the switch on the left rear door itself, as well as the other ways?
