Default 2005 LS430 Exterior Handle Replacement DIY??

Does anyone know how to DIY replace an exterior handle?

Some ******* tried to jack my ****. (I can only assume since, i doubt this piece would magically fall off)

New handle is on it's way.

Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

They do fall off....btw you don't want the entire handle, you just want that rear piece that fell off.

I looked at pics of my car and realized I bought it with the rear right gone, and then the driver side came off under my ownership. I purchased the parts online with the body color, then pried the painted cap off the new part, and glued them on with 3M emblem adhesive, been fine ever since....I paid around $24 for the back, and $28 for the driver, list is higher.

this was the rear right 6920750010A2

this was the driver 6925050011A3 , the "Ax" indicates moonlight pearl 072 i.e. the color, as they come in whatever color the car is...

What you get is the cap attached to the silver thing you see on your handle. Rather than remove it from inside the door, it was easier to pry the missing cap off the silver, then glue it to the door. There is a tiny pin that fits in the hole (you see it in your pic). Just be very careful when prying, it takes a bit of force!

edit this might give you an idea of what I'm referring to

John,

Thanks so much. Good thing I actually did not confirm the order of the handle.

I will order part separately.!!
