I remember reminding my mechanic about putting the new bushings in with the tabs showing in the same position (I believe it was north/south) as the ones coming out.which was done. I'm curious.......what would have been the down side if they weren't installed in the correct position?

Reinstall rear nut to hold bushing in place but not to final torque.

"Reinstall 2 bolts plus nut, Long bolt through side rail bracket Torque to 204Nm/ 150ft-lbs, short bolt with nut 86Nm/63ft-lbs side rail bolts 50Nm/37ft-lbs

verify clean cyling with suspension by loading and unloading. While suspension is loaded, apply final torque to through post nut. Torque to 113Nm/ 83ft-lbs"

you need to have the wheel off the ground those are the directions on how tighten and install it, make sure you do it correctly or it will effect your tire were and damage the new bushing.
