So after 8 months of looking for the right car and changing need to have color combination drastically from a black on black car to a light colored exterior/interior, the search could be over. I located and went to look at a 2005 LS 430 the other day at a cadillac dealer. The car is white on beige and is absolutely immaculate both inside and out. The carfax and service history is exceptional up until 57,000 miles at which point the 2nd owner took over the car in 2015 and from then on there were no more reported services. I do know that the timing belt was not yet performed as I do not see any service sticker under the hood and also the previous owners son is the mechanic for the cadillac dealer that it was traded in to and he also said that no it had not been performed. The car has Navigation with Mark Levinson. The dealer installed all new tires and brakes on the car, albeit the tires are a cheap brand which is so stupid in my opinion. Might as well keep the originals and offer a further discount on the car so that the new owner can install tires of their choice. I did not get to drive it yet as I was sort of having a vehicular issue of my own truck at the time and could not stay too long. Car now has 88,856 miles on it. My only other gripe is that the car has 17" wheels and not the 18's, but i wouldn't call it a deal breaker as the car was that good.

Pearl White with Cashmere Interior
Navigation with Mark Levinson
17" Wheels and NEW Kelly Tires
New Brakes
88,856 Miles
The car is listed for $10,900, a drop from $12,000 a week ago as a "sales price". What do you guys think? I'd like to see that price around $9,900 but at the same time its priced pretty good considering comps in my area. I'd hate to walk from it but I can and will if necessary.

I don't know how we normalize everything, but we were just talking about a MS car, 2006, and I think the mileage was in the 60's, and that 12,700 might be good. So this is a 2005, with 88k, but I think less equipment. If it were just year and mileage, I'd say 10,000. But less equipment, I'd say $9,000. That's my logic....9k v. 10.9k is a fair difference. If I wanted it, I would offer 9k and see if there is any counter, if not, I'd walk...if they say 10k, I'd say 9700 which is where you said you want to be...for me 17's are a deal breaker, as is if there's no ML package, but this is a personal preference...

$10,000 is all the money on this one. If you can buy it for less, so much the better. Good luck!

Sounds like a reasonable deal to me. You'll have to get the timing belt done soon so that's another $800 - $1,500 to be factored in. I would use that for some leverage as well. Something like, I'll pay $10,900 if you have the timing belt and water pump done and if that doesn't work tell them $10, 500 but then split the cost of the timing belt and get that quoted by a local dealer. See what happens.
No ML would probably be a deal breaker to me but the wheels aren't that big of a deal. You can easily change wheels/tires out, not so much with the stereo.
Did you check the door actuators on all of the doors as well as the tilt/telescopic steering wheel? Common problem that we forget to check in the heat of the buy.

With the options I have mentioned, doesn't this car in fact have the modern luxury package? I'm def going to try and push the price to $9500-10. I might go back down tomorrow to take it for a drive as well as go over more of the features to make sure everything is working.
