My 2005 Lexus LS 430 is giving me a service warning to change my air filter. It has been changed but the warning light will not go off. What can I do?
It may be a maintenance reminder coming up via the Nav Screen reminders page. You can program in a set mileage to do various maintenance procedures, and it might be associated with that message.
There's a boatload of info about that screen in the FAQ section.
I believe it's the cabin air filter. I never knew it existed so I never reset anything when I replaced mine. Sure enough it popped up on the dash.
I actually don't even remember if this is what I did, but pretty sure I just googled it from the car and this is what I found...
For the A/C filter light:
1. key on
2. engine on or off
3. doors closed
4. press and hold the fan off button on the environmental control area
5. the info meter will read a/c filter reset or something to that effect
