Beatsonic Brackets - Are they Necessary?
Hey guys, new 01 Celsior owner here, just picked it up with 33k km - hopefully will get a chance to post some pics in the near future.
I have a quick question for those with the beatsonic kits (w/ nav) - are the brackets necessary? I know the stock unit has some brackets on the side, can they be used on the new double din? I have everything from the kit except these brackets...
I contacted beatsonic and they were absolutely no help....

Yes exactly those brackets. The stock unit has something similar on the sides so I'm wondering if they're actually needed or just nice to have.
Have you tried the Celsior kit on your LS?

No i have not i dont have a head unit to plug in and dont wanna purchase a $500 headunit and not know if it works till a year later when warranty runs out yah know lol and yes the brackets are needed they help with support keeping the head unit in so it doesnt flop around inside the dash and to make it harder for thieves to rip the headunit out.
You can try but it does not look like its gonna work out idk if you know anyone with a 04-06 celsior? my kits for sale $200 plus shipping and paypal fees its brand new never been used i paid like almost $450 for the stupid thing from japan, even have the original shipping recipts that shows how much i paid.....worst part is beatsonic wouldnt even sell me the electronic box that plugs into thw radio they said i had to buy a new kit....such bull***** what do they do for warrenty stuff make you send the whole kit in like unreal they dont have the metal brackets for sale.
Yeah Beatsonic is pretty useless from a customer service standpoint... will avoid their products in the future.
The 04-06 Celsior isn't quite legal for import here yet, the earliest versions were built in August of 2003, so this August they will start to be eligible.

If you dont mind me asking how did you get a beatsonic kit with no brackets? And are you good at diy i could take a couple pictures of the brackets in my kit with a tapemeasure so you can see the dimensions and make your own if you would like
The stock brackets are NOT the same, I tried it. The holes are going to be different, I tried to push the unit more back so I tried out my stock brackets and they aren't the same. I just did a full install a few months ago with Pioneer carplay and backup camera. I ended up setting my unit to tilt slightly so its more flush with the top.
Heres the page with my post when I did the install.

The brackets are absolutely necessary, as I found out when I bought a used kit and they were missing. I was lucky enough to go through CARiD (retailer) and there were nice enough to just sell me the brackets, even after saying that it was not possible as everything is sold as a complete kit.
