First confirm that the automated "Tilt" and "Telescopic" functions were not disabled in the software configuration. Please note that you can still operate these functions manually. It seems that your automated functions were disabled, that is, the telescopic function only work manually.

Second, check the 20A fuse in the driver-side fuse box called "TI&TE" to make sure it's not blown. Your fuse is not blown since the telescopic function operates manually.

If these are not the culprits, then check out the following links:

Your description of the problem suggests that the automated functions are disabled (you can enable these function with TechStream); and your "Tilt" motor (or its wiring) is bad.

Do you care if it's disabled? My telescope was weak, so I got the wheel where I wanted, and pulled the fuse. I would rather have the tilt up after shutting off disabled, but I don't have that techstream....the 2nd way, the tilt/telescope would work manually...I don't want it doing it every time because it could get stuck out of position, and I just don't feel it's worth fixing....
