How to ID Sport Suspension
I have seen "Sport Suspension" badges on the front fenders of 2001 to 2004 LS 430s, but never on a 2005 or 2006. Did they drop the badges on those latter years or have I simply never seen one?
Related question: what does a window sticker on a car so equipped exactly say? Euro suspension? Sport suspension?

My '06 has Sport Suspension and no badges. I'm the second owner so I can't say with 100% certainty that badges may have been removed prior to my ownership but I doubt it.
I think the window sticker reads "Euro Tuned" Suspension.

It's strange that the option was, I believe, $220 every year through 2005 and then jumped to $800 for the 2006MY.

The badges on the sides of the front fenders of my 2001 LS say "Sport Suspension" but my Window Sticker states "Euro-Tuned Sport Suspension" and it was a no cost option.

I had an 01 Base for 3 years. Really enjoyed having a personal limo.
My 04 ML SS is a different drive. It has some road feedback. It's great to have a low key car that's fast, super comfortable and.....actually handles well for a big luxury car. SS feels totally “nailed to road” at higher speeds. Mark I like your description of the car staying "composed" when you had to swerve. I had to make an instant lane change to avoid some guy weaving thru traffic at 90-100. He was close enough that the parking sensors went off. Car handled perfectly. When I sold the 01, had a left over set of new Michelin Premiers on stock 17’s so that’s the current drive. It’s a little soft so may try some Michelin Pilot Sports on the stock 18’s. Anyone have suggests for tires?
My car has the badges. Why would anyone remove them? Isn’t there possible paint damage? Can only guess that some original owners ordered SS w/o badges for some reason.

I recently accompanied my mother on a test drive of an 05 with the Euro Tuned Suspension. It definitely had the badge near each of the front tires. Here's some pics of the one she test drove: http://www.butlerlexussouthatlanta.c...-GA/3125286113

That's very helpful, lexslexus - that's the first '05 I've seen with the Sport Suspension badging.

I recently acquired a 2006 LS sales brochure. It has several photos showing front fender sport suspension badges, so it appears they were used every year from 2001 through 2006.

I have an ‘04 ML SS and run Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 tires (P245/45R18, 96V, M&S). The handling is surprisingly good for a touring tire while the ride comfort is very good(significantly smoother than a ‘16 LS460 or BMW 740I). The handling isn’t as crisp as those vehicles but it’s minor compared to the significant decrease in ride quality. I would not put a “summer” tire on it as tire life and ride quality would suffer.
