Default Probably not sport suspension

I was wondering if I had sport suspension then took a look at the window sticker that the dealer gave me last year. Doesn't mention anything.
I know about the sport suspension decal just forward of the door but imagine that the decals could have been removed.

I took pictures of the front drivers suspension but doubt there is anyway to tell.

You can email Lexus @ Customer_Satisfaction_Inquiries@lexus.com

and provide them your VIN#. They should be able to send you a brochure with all the fitted equipment and features added to your car.

It's not a decal. It's a physical badge. No reason for someone to remove it. Also 18's are part of the package so that's another clue.

I've removed badges before that left no trace. And the reason to remove it is badges can make a car look trashy.

Depends on the year as to whether it has 18's or not. '01 - '03 has 17's and '04 - '06 has 18's.

If it's not on the window sticker provided by the dealer (which comes directly from the factory build sheet), as well as no fender badges, it doesn't have factory sport suspension.

Thanks for the info. I have an '01 (regular) and an '04 (sports). Is the trans in your '05 as smooth as the '02 trans in automatic shift mode? Using manual gear select upshift and downshift? I've done the TSB and 1st drain and flush on the 04. Car has 102k. The Sports Suspension wasn't on my bucket list but it is a very nice addition! Had no idea an LS could actually corner. Having the manual shift option makes it more fun.

18's don't guarantee sport suspension. Look at my window sticker I posted.

Correct. Sport suspensions for your year came standard with 18's and it looks like your vehicle had the 18's as an extra cost option.

This is the response I received from Lexus care:

Thank you for contacting Lexus Customer Satisfaction.

We have no record in our system that you have a sport tuned suspension on your vehicle. However, a visual inspection at a Lexus dealer would provide the best answer for you.

If you require further assistance, please respond to this email, or contact Lexus Customer Satisfaction at 1-800-255-3987, Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 6:00 pm, or Saturday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Pacific Time.

Sincerely,

Kent Eads

Like I said, you don't have factory sport suspension. The only way you could have it? It was added after initial delivery.

While 18" wheels are a pre-requisite for sport suspension, you could have 18" wheels as an option without factory sport suspension.

Why do you think you have (or don't have) sport suspension?

I figured that out once I read my window sticker. I don't "think" I have sport suspension anymore.

It's barely discernible but overall I would have to say that the 5 spd is smoother than the 6 spd in auto mode. In manual mode the 6 spd is jumpier and more abrupt when shifting. Hope this helps and I agree that the SS is a VERY nice addition. I'm always surprised in how flat the car handles when pushed.
