Default My interior lights switch from night to day ramdomly, whats the fix?

So i just noticed the interior lights (radio, suspension controls, gps dimmer, ect..) go from on to off randomly while driving at night. Its really aggravating because the gsp suddenly gets very bright and everything else (the gauges stay normal) goes black. Also, I'm not sure if this is related but, the car seems to shake a little when the lights aren't working. Has this happened to anyone? If so, how did you fix it?

Check the light sensor. It’s on the midle of the dashboard closer to the the windscreen.
Switch the lights on and Use a pice of paper or cardboard t cover it up. And see if you can duplicate the err. If so then it’s probibly that sensor or the connection of the sensor.
Hope this helps you.

So i went out and wiped off the sensor, then i used a flashlight to simulate daylight. The lights got bright and went dim as they should but never went 100% out like they did earlier tonight. I guess I'll just have to drive it for a bit another night and see if it happens again. If it doesn't then I'll assume the sensor was just dirty. Thanks agian for your help!

Those dash light sensors don't typically fail. More likely this > https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-at-night.html
