Default Hks vs Greddy

Has anyone compared a hks muffler with a greddy muffler i mean sound wise? I am debating on selling my greddy muffs and purchasing hks, I am torn though because I have no idea what the sound difference will be.

Years ago I dreamed of getting a Greddy exhaust on my Maxima, which I bought new. The funny thing is the original aluminized exhaust lasted so long, by the time it had an issue (12 years later), I had lost interest and got a junk Walker lifetime exhaust (lasted 18 mos. in the northeast)....

I like our exhaust the way it is.....case in point, think of how many SUVs have an exhaust that has an aggressive droning sound from the factory to be sporty...but it doesn't make the vehicles any more sporty....so just me exhaust in general is not a bang for buck item....my guess is the sound would be a lot louder in an unpleasant way....

I am all ready planning on putting an exhaust on my car and it would make the car more sporty. My PPE headers along with a full 2.25 stainless exaust from the cats back with an x pipe will give me at least a 30-45 hp increase, as well as 30-45 tq. The exhaust on the ls430 is very contrictive from the factory especially the exhaust manifolds.

I like the car being sporty hence the stiff coilovers and all the braces I am going to put on, this car has so much potential for being a fast well handling luxury car.

30-45? I don’t think those are real number increases. But what do I know? Prove me wrong with a dyno. That’ll be awesome.

In 1999, I believed it when people said 2-5 HP by using a K&N panel, but that was 1999 lol More like 2-5 mpg less due to the engine not being able to breathe....(remember how K&N said the filter works better as it gets dirtier, a myth that was debunked)

30-45 sounds very ambitious on both hp and torque. Guys spend thousands on a replacement BMW exhaust and claim maybe 10 HP, and openly acknowledge it's for sound more than anything else (weight too) ...

The PPE headers are dyno proven on a stock ls430 for 20hp and 20tq, so seeing a 10-15 increase on both hp and torque with an exhaust is more than reasonable

I am positive they are real number increases there have been dynos done of these go look through the forum and you will see ppe gave a dyno sheet of a stock ls430 with headers increasing 20hp & 20tq. So seeing a 10-15 hp increase from a full exhaust is completely feasible. Hence the 30-45 hp & 30-45tq

now will someone answer my question about the two mufflers please.
