chocking at 3K RPM?
I replaced the drivers side valve gasket a couple of times. And in the process thought that I was rough with the wiring. I actually disconnected 2 wires from one of my injectors. So I am wondering in that process if I might have disconnected or caused a MAF wire to short?
I will see this morning if I can figure it out.
Too many jobs on this car but I think that this will be one of the last for a while once I get it figured out.

No power to the mas air flow sensor.
I can't get a power reading at the ecu. This car is screwing with me.
I have to walk away its cold and I am tired of being screwed with.

Does anyone know if the B+ wire is a power wire? black Is E 12 a junction plug or?
since I don't have a hot wire to the maf, I am going to check the plug and see if I have continuity between the fuse and the plug.
The junctions "EB2" and "E12" are both located in the engine bay...

Thank you so much for the help!!!! I ordered some back probes to make sure I have the correct readings.
I suspect that my ecu might be bad. I can't get any power readings from the ECU which is the second step in diagnosis.
Good news is there are plenty of used ECUs for around $100 on Ebay.
So instead of dread I am encouraged by an ECU problem. I would rather have an ECU issue than a wiring issue, much quicker to solve and I bet a new wiring harness is expensive and labor intensive.
What is NG and what is OK?
step 3 says check voltage
.5 to 3V
Ok= check and replace ECM
NG is check open or short in harness?
It seems backwards? Ok should be check or replace harness? but OK is check and replace ECM?
Maybe its stands for different meaning?

I followed the steps and wanted to see where the power was interrupted. It turned out the fuel injection 2 fuse was blown. Probably something I shorted at some point attaching and disconnecting something?
I reset and erased the codes and all the vsc and brake light check engine went off.
For the first time since owning the car I have a clean dash free from warning lights. The car accelerates above 3k!!!!!!
Wow so nice to have a victory!!!!
I couldnt have done it without the help from RKW!!!!!
Thank you Soooooo much!!

If you were to take a wild guess, what killed the CATs? And how many miles on it?
Perhaps MAF was offline and it ran in limp mode too long whereby excessive fuel melts the honey comb and cracks it? That is an interesting failure.

I think it had bad coils and probably pumped fuel into the cats.
The MAF and vsc was a recent issue.
I don't believe they had anything to do with the cats.
I had this issue with vsc after a removal of an O2 .
Not sure why the fuse blew?
