Repainted the grill again yesterday. This time I repainted it with wheel paint, a two-part Hyper Silver paint from Dupli-Color. Goes on a little thicker, then there is an additional clear coat. Hopefully it will be more durable.
This is the 3rd time I have repainted it. Seems to last about 2 years, although I only drive 5K miles a year. The silver grill tends to show the nicks and chips more than the stock grill, looks like black freckles.
This is the paint I used. They call it Hyper Silver, I would call it more of a grey metallic. Doesn't have the sparkle and depth of the Hyper Silver finish on the wheels. Still, I think it looks pretty good, especially on this color finish (Flint Mica).

I'm about to paint my grill as well. Think I'm going to try the Krylon metallic that you used the first time.
